The growing season is here! I started planting out client gardens this week with cool season veggies and herbs like leaf lettuces, parsley, broccoli, and so much more.
If you’re a little nervous to start gardening this season, you’re in good company. Most gardeners I work with tell me when we first meet that they have a black thumb.
I have the privilege of telling them that they don’t have a black thumb at all – gardening is a skill we can learn, not an inherent trait set at birth.
All you have to do is build some basic gardening skills. And I have the perfect opportunity to help you start.
Join me for my upcoming workshop, “Flourish with Freshness: Plant Your Own Herb Garden,” on Thursday, April 17th at Forest View Educational Center in Arlington Heights.
Discover how to grow a green thumb that will put the most nutritious food on your family’s table and add more flavor to your dishes than you thought possible.
This is a hands-on workshop, so get ready to plant your own herb garden in class! You’ll jumpstart your growing season with the perfect setup for growing parsley, dill, oregano, thyme, rosemary, and chives.
You’ll also learn everything you need to know to care for a thriving herb garden that will nourish your body and elevate your cooking. We’ll cover topics like:
- Why you should start your gardening journey with herbs, not tomatoes
- How to plant and care for your herbs
- How to harvest and preserve your herbs so you never have to buy them in plastic packages at the grocery store again.
Imagine snipping fresh herbs from your herb garden, stepping into your kitchen, and adding so many nutrients and so much flavor to your favorite dishes. Imagine the flavors and aromas of your homegrown herbs transforming your meals into culinary masterpieces.
Save your seat now for “Flourish with Freshness: Plant Your Own Herb Garden.” Experience the satisfaction of growing your own food, and watch your black thumb turn bright green.
I can’t wait to see you there!
